Signature Songs

Some artists have songs that are so closely associated with them that they
are clearly their "signature" songs. Loretta Lynn - Coal Miner's Daughter.
Tammy Wynette - Stand By Your Man.

Others have so many hits or such a large body of work that it is less clear.
Would you say that Hank Williams signature song is "Your Cheating Heart?"
Arguably, yes but there may be other opinions. George Jones - She Stopped
Loving Him Today? I don't think it's his best but it was voted top country
song of all time. Patsy Cline - Crazy? I would say so but Faded Love was a
huge hit for her.

How about others, your favorite artists?

Kitty Wells and "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels".

I think you'll get lots of argument on Johnny Cash - "Orange Blossom
Special". For me it would be "Folsom Prison Blues".

Special". For me it would be "Folsom Prison Blues".
I would choose "I Walk the Line". The guitar riff is so well
recognized.
And Lefty, I'd have to pick "The Long Black Veil". But my personal one
is "Mom and Dad's Waltz."

The opening horns on "Ring of Fire" are also instantly recognizable. But,
yeah, I'd probably go with "Walk the Line" if for no other reason than I
like guitars better than horns.
