COUNTRY MUSIC'S AWARD WINNING VOCALIST AND SONGWRITER, RICHIE McDONALD,
RELEASES HIS DEBUT CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN PROJECT JUNE 3, 2008
I TURN TO YOU
Nashville, TN (March 7, 2008) ---- One of Country music's premiere vocalists
and respected songwriters, Richie McDonald, will release his debut
Contemporary Christian project, I Turn To You, on June 3, 2008. The CD was
produced by McDonald's long-time friend, Frank Myers, and McDonald co-wrote
all but two songs on the album. The project will be distributed by Lucid
Artist and will be available at retail outlets nationwide including Family
Christian stores and Walmart.
"I've always wanted to do this kind of album. I just thought it was time,"
says McDonald. "I just feel like I'm doing music that really makes a
difference. I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing now and it feels right
in my heart."
"I am extremely honored to partner with Richie and help him connect with
retailers & the Christian community nationwide," says Greg Lucid, President,
Lucid Artist. "It has been a long time since the Christian music community
rallied behind, supported and effectively launched a new artist. I feel
confident Richie has both the talent and message and it's resonating with
retailers like Walmart and Family Christian stores. I know that when people
hear the lyrics and meet Richie that they will instantly see why he is so
special."
I Turn To You is a compelling project with songs that give hope, encourage
faith, and give glory to our wonderful God. The title song is the first
single that will be going for adds at radio on March 14th. Other songs
include, "He's Alive," that makes a powerful Easter message with the
confirmation that Christ is alive and active in our lives, "Handle With
Prayer" is a testimony about the power of prayer and the results it has on
our lives, and "What Would He Do," which is about living a life faithful to
Jesus' teachings. "Hey God" will be familiar to McDonald's fans as it's an
acoustic version of the Lonestar hit that he wrote for the band.
McDonald is the former vocalist for Country's supergroup, Lonestar, and
surprised the music row community by leaving the band after 16 years to
pursue a solo career. McDonald wrote three #1 songs for Lonestar, "My Front
Porch," "Mr. Mom," and "I'm Already There," and was honored by BMI as
Songwriter Of The Year in 2003. McDonald's music is now on mainstream rock
stations as the best-selling English group, Westlife, has done a cover
version of "I'm Already There," which was co-written by McDonald, Frank
Myers, and Gary Baker.
For tour updates and additional information on McDonald's upcoming new
Country project in 2008 please visit, www.richiemcdonald.com.

Going into his 50th year in the Music Industry, Charlie Daniels has scored
hits on the rock, country, pop and Christian charts and counts awards from
the Country Music Association (CMA), Academy of Country Music (ACM),
TNN/Music City News Awards, and the Gospel Music Association (GMA) among his
many accolades. His signature song, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," topped
both country and pop charts, bringing him international acclaim. Daniels'
current Blue Hat/Koch Records CD release, Deuces, is his first duet album
and features guest artists Travis Tritt; Bonnie Bramlett; Gretchen Wilson;
Vince Gill; Earl, Gary & Randy Scruggs; Dolly Parton; Darius Rucker; The Del
McCoury Band; Brenda Lee; Brooks & Dunn; Marty Stuart; Montgomery Gentry;
and Brad Paisley.
After more than two decades together, 38 Special is still playing more than
100 shows per year. And at every one of them, thousands of audience members
are completely blindsided by the power and muscle of the band's performance.
"When we come out, people are like, 'Whoa! It's like a freight train rolling
over them...'" says vocalist/guitarist Don Barnes. While most associate the
group with its arena-rock '80s pop smashes, these days the band's harder
edge is what is immediately noticeable. Barnes says it's all about
maintaining the intensity that they deliver in their live shows.
Singer/Songwriter Shooter Jennings' third studio album THE WOLF received
mass critical acclaim by the nation's top music critics who described the
album as a "stirring blend of tough rockers and heart-on-the-sleeve country"
(American Songwriter). Jennings is working hard to prepare the new material
for what looks to be his busiest tour schedule in career history, while
making time for recent television appearances on CSI: Crime Scene
Investigation, The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno.

Song Writer's Fest Opens Registration for 2008 Season
Nashville,TN March 9, 2008
Songwriters of every genre converge on Music Row for The Nashville
SongWriters Festival on the third week of June, each year. It's part
festival, part music conference, part business networking opportunity and
part gathering of old friends. Tune smiths share their original music on
multiple outdoor stages and Open Sing Rings located directly on Music Row.
Writers can also attend classes, workshops, and Q & A sessions about the
craft and business of songwriting between jam sessions. Another fest feature
is the Open House held by participating music related businesses where
writers drop by to ask questions, exchange samples or discuss what part they
play in the music biz. The live performances, education and Open House are
concurrently running events. Attendees take in all or parts and can play it
by ear.
"The fest is open to all forms of songwriting, from the novice to the
professional. There are no pre qualifications to play or attend. Everyone is
encouraged to come as they are. All attendees will have the opportunity to
share their words or music and find their place in the mix. The festival is
not a contest or competition which makes for a more relaxing creative
atmosphere,"says festival producer Cornelius "Popcorn" Robertson. There is
no set registration fee to attend the fest, Each individual determines how
they can contribute to help be a part of the music magic."
"Last year Curb Music, Artist Partners and others helped out with stage
locations. Staff writers from Sony/BMG, Warner-Chappell/Ash Street Music,
Curb and many others chipped in some top notch songwriting talent, Brian
White, Dillon Dixon, Don Poythress, Billy Montana to name a few." Popcorn
continues, "Industry professionals Dave Gibson, Stan Web, and others hit
writers hosted sessions at the Writers Retreat. Sure Fire Music participated
in the Open House and so on. ASCAP, BMI and SESAC writers all came together.
Publishers, recording studios, producers, song pluggers, managers, and
others were in attendance as a broad spectrum of the industry, past, present
and future were there getting the feel."
"This June 20-22, another historical gathering begins to shape up as Stella
Parton (27+ charted songs) to Guitar master Boomer Castleman (inventor of
the Palm Pedal guitar) throw down at this years congregation to celebrate
the spirit of the songwriter. Many special guest and surprises await but the
real featured writer is you, as we glimpse into the past, present and future
of songwriting together."

"You Just Don't Get It"
Cheryl K Warner has released "You Just Don't Get It", the third single from
her upcoming Fantasy cd. "You Just Don't Get It" was written by Jerry
Gillespie and Dan Willis and is a bold, upbeat, attitude song about a
changed woman.
"As soon as I heard the writers' demo, I wanted to record it," says Cheryl
K. "I felt that the lyrics of the song would certainly strike a note with
women and that it might possibly enlighten men to appreciate and accept
their women just the way they are."
Combining the honesty of her country roots with the heart of gospel and the
energy of rock, Cheryl K.'s voice provides a mirror in which her listeners
see reflections of their lives and of their dreams. Cheryl K. has a
friendly, easy going nature, and a genuine rapport with her fans. If her
personality and sunny smile don't warm you all over, her
straight-from-the-heart vocals will do the trick.
The Fantasy cd, which includes "Dreams" (the debut single that appeared on
the New Music Weekly Indie Top 30 Chart), "It's the Way That You Do It" (the
follow-up single), and "You Just Don't Get It", is scheduled for release
later this year.
For more information, please contact Wildfire Publicity. Photos, MP3s or the
cd single, and interviews available to the media by request. MP3s are also

Hank Cochran Honored By The North American Country Music Associations
International On Sunday, March 16
New Hall of Fame Inductee Will Perform At Awards Show In Pigeon Forge, TN
Nashville, TN (March 4, 2008) - Legendary singer/songwriter Hank Cochran
will be inducted into the North American Country Music Associations
International's Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 16. The awards show, held at
the Country Tonite Theater (129 Showplace Blvd., Pigeon Forge), includes an
acoustic performance by Hank as well.
The purpose of NACMAI (www.nacmai.org) is to nurture and perpetuate the
history of country music, and their mission makes Cochran an obvious choice
for this award. "It's truly an honor for me," Cochran says. "I'm very
thankful they believe I am worthy."
Cochran epitomizes the goals of the organization; he is one of the true
legends of country music, and he continues to work tirelessly at his craft.
His songs have ruled the country (and pop) charts since the 1960s -
beginning with recordings by artists like Patsy Cline, Ray Price, George
Jones and Willie Nelson through to the present, with cuts by George Strait,
Lee Ann Womack and Reba McEntire. Songs like "Make The World Go Away,"
"Ocean Front Property," "Don't You Ever Get Tired Of Hurting Me" and "The
Chair" have emerged from his pen to fill a vast catalog - and his even
bigger heart.
This isn't the first honor for this living legend. In 1974, Cochran was
inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame - and remains the only
inductee ever to receive a unanimous vote during the nomination process. He
has received over 21 B.M.I. Million-Air awards, including one for over two
million plays of Patsy Cline's classic take on "I Fall To Pieces." His own
recordings have endured throughout the years, and he is a faithful supporter
not only of other recording artists, but of other writers, songwriter
festivals and workshops around the globe.

CRB Releases Attendance Figures for CRS-39
New Agenda Committee Chair Named
Nashville, Tenn. (March 10th, 2008) - Attendance figures for the 39th Annual
Country Radio Seminar (CRS-39) have been released.
This years total attendance figure was 2,607, including 1,893 full
registrants (including exhibitors, panelists and sponsors) and 714
participant registrants. Participant registrants attend as part of the
event, but do not register for the full seminar. Those related events
include the Thursday Music Industry Town Meeting and the Friday Radio Sales
Day.
This represents a 9% decrease over last year when the combined total was
2,865.
According to CRB Treasurer, Jeff Walker of AristoMedia, "While attendance
was down this year, the actual ratio of radio to music industry attendees
remained almost identical to last year. Single panel registration was flat
over the past two years. Given the fact that travel costs continue to rise
and that uncertainty about the economy is widespread we anticipated a small
decline in attendance going into the event. Given the fact that we held the
early bird registration rate at the same level as last year and provided
almost an additional half day of activities, we feel very positive about the
continued value of the event for our registrants."
Country Radio Broadcasters' President Becky Brenner further noted, "Response
to this year's seminar was extremely positive from our attendees with many
high points. We achieved a great balance between education and entertainment
and are already looking forward to celebrating our 40th anniversary next
year in a big way."
In Board and Agenda news, re-elected as officers are Becky Brenner (KMPS
Seattle) President; Bill Mayne Vice President; Carole Bowen (WKIS Miami)
Secretary and Jeff Walker (AristoMedia/Marco Promotions) Treasurer.
Bob Moody, VP Programming of Regents Communications, was newly elected to
the Board.
Keith Kaufman (WSIX Nashville) was named Agenda Chair for the upcoming year
and Bob Reeves (Warner Bros. Nashville) was named Agenda Vice-Chair.
CRS-40 will be March 4-6, 2009 at the Nashville Convention Center,
Nashville, TN.
For further information on CRS-39 and the Country Radio Broadcasters can be
obtained by visiting www.crb.org .

confident Richie has both the talent and message and it's resonating with
retailers like Walmart and Family Christian stores.

Daniels'
current Blue Hat/Koch Records CD release, Deuces, is his first duet album
and features guest artists Travis Tritt; Bonnie Bramlett; Gretchen Wilson;
Vince Gill; Earl, Gary & Randy Scruggs; Dolly Parton; Darius Rucker; The Del
McCoury Band; Brenda Lee; Brooks & Dunn; Marty Stuart; Montgomery Gentry;
and Brad Paisley.

MP3s are also
available to radio on our download page and on Airplay Direct.
