This is an Elvis group? When was Elvis really Country, after he
discovered rock?<
Not only that, since I just returned from Washington DC and all the
memorials, shouldn't Elvis have his name on one of them since he
basically died (musically speaking) when he was in the service ? :)
I'll give you three Elvi for one Darrell McCall or Ray Price (but not
the "For The Good Times/Danny Boy/I Won't Mention it Again" era Ray.)<
Again, I think you're being a little too hard on Ray. Most/a lot of
his stuff from the era you're talking about did suck, but not all. I
still love "For The Good Times" and it's been covered by enough people
(everybody) to have earned it's place as a country standard. Anyway,
like Willie Nelson, as bad as his stuff was, he still managed to
include a few "keepers" along the way :
The Same Two Lips
Go Away
Enough To Lie
Drinking Champagne
Too Many Rivers
(Today) I Started Loving You Again
For The Good Times
Walking On New Grass
I Won't Mention It Again
Gonna Burn Some Bridges
I'd Rather Be Sorry
Grazin' In Greener Pastures
But I Was Lying
Anyhow, nice to see you back . How'd the CD go ? I know the clips I
heard sounded pretty good, so I'm sure my endorsement alone must have
been worth millions ? :) LOL !!!!!
Now that you've got 'em hooked, hit 'em over the head with the five
different covers, ala Barf Brooks ! :) LOL !!!!!!!
Nice to see you haven't forgotten your hometown, now that you've made
it . Remember, we knew you "when" !
