Blue, maybe I asked you this before, but damned if I can remember.

When were you at Fort Hood, and where in North Carolina do you live.
Actually, how close to Mooresville are you?

Yep, you've asked before, Tom, no problem, I was stationed at Ft.
Hood for Basic and AIT in 1966. I'm in Moore County probably a little
over 100 miles from Mooresville ( Earnhardt country ).
I think I remember you saying you were at Hood in 1956, right? Blue

1956? You were probably thinking of Elvis, a little people mistook me
for him. No, I was there in 63-65.

Yeah, you said something about runnin' a hot rod at the dragstrip
around Belton, I believe.
You know about the building Elvis had built after his training at
Ft.
Hood, right? I believe it was called "Fiddler's Green". Blue

Yep, a 58 Chevy Impala hardtop, 348 tri-power, three on the floor.

Fiddler's Green Recreation Center. I heard about Elvis building it,
but no one ever said for sure.
I believe Fiddler's Green is a name for heaven for deceased military.
