How many country songs have basically the same tune. There's quite a
few the same as "It wasn't god who made honky tonk angels." How about
"Miles and miles of Texas" and "I'm just driving nails in my coffin."

Lessee... there was the Wabash Cannonball, and another Roy Acuff tune
that sounded exactly the same... only the words were different...

Yeah there's a ton of them, often to capitalize on an earlier hit . I
can't think of them off the top of my head, but obviously when you
hear them you know instantly.

"Don't Cuss The Fiddle" by Willie Nelson & Waylon Jennings talks
about this exact subject and stealing each other's songs, and finished
with a chorus of "Good Hearted Woman" , which obviously they had
stolen from .

In the same vein, Don Bowman did "Hot Blooded Woman" with Willie and
Waylon doing back - up vocals, which again was a direct steal of "Good
Hearted Woman" .

And finally, since I 've just been listening to Waylon Jennings,
"Armed And Dangerous" seems to have stolen a lot from "Rainy Day
Woman" .

Ooops . Sorry wrong song. Apparently I looked at the CD too quickly.
It's the NEXT song, "Heartaches Older Than You" that's a total rip off
of "Rainy Day Woman"
