"Set Up Two Glasses, Joe" by the one and only Texas Troubador!

But if you ask me tomorrow I might say "There's no place that I'd rather
be than right here with my red neck, white socks, and blue ribbon beer."

Don't forget "A Broken Heart And A Glass Of Beer" by Hank Thompson!

A Broken Heart And A Glass Of Beer.

A broken heart and a glass of beer
is all I have before me here.
I've lived a life of rowdy and rough
but now, at last, I've got enough
with a broken heart and a glass of beer.

I've had my fun. There was no fear.
Just roamin' round year after year.
I was wild and wooly and full of flee
but I've ended up down on my knees
with a broken heart and a glass of beer.

My baby's gone and I don't know where.
I'm a lonely soul deep in despair
I could kick my dog, I could whup my cat
but I'd end up right where I'm at
with a broken heart and a glass of beer.

My Ford won't run. I've stripped her gear.
My cow's been dry for over a year.
My mailman died. My phone won't ring.
My landlord kicked me out in the rain
with a broken heart and a glass of beer.
I changed my mind, "Sixpack to Go" Hank Thompson<

only time I've seen his name here that I
didn't post it

when you said too many drinking songs to
chosse from, you was right on the button

====A salesman checked into a futuristic hotel. Realizing he needed a
haircut before the next day's meeting, he called the desk clerk to ask
if there was a barber on the premises.
"I'm afraid not, sir," the clerk told him apologetically, "but down the
hall from your room is a vending machine that should serve your
purposes."
Skeptical but intrigued, the salesman located the machine, inserted
$15.00, and stuck his head into the opening, at which time the machine
started to buzz and whirl. Fifteen seconds later the salesman pulled out
his head and surveyed is reflection, which showed the best haircut of
his life.
Two feet away was another machine with a sign that read, 'Manicures,
$20.00.'
"Why not?" thought the salesman. He paid the money, inserted his hands
into the slot, and the machine started to buzz and whirl. Fifteen
seconds later he pulled out his hands and they wer e perfectly
manicured.
The next machine had a sign that read, 'This Machine Provides a Service
Men Need When Away from Their Wives, 50 Cents.' The salesman looked both
ways, put fifty cents in the machine, unzipped his fly, and with some
anticipation, stuck his manhood into the opening. When the machine
started buzzing, the guy let out a shriek of agony and almost passed
out. Fifteen seconds later it shut off. With trembling hands, the
salesman was able to withdraw his tender unit..... Which now had a
button sewn on the end. ====

And remember all the ones I posted were LESS than 1 full letter of the
alphabet. Multiply that list by 25 more letters and you get the idea.
Having said that, "Old Dogs Children And Watermelon Wine" would be
hard to beat. Truer words were NEVER spoken. (Or sung)

We're starting to show our age I think. : ) 20 years ago this scenario
would've been unthinkable, but today with all the body piercings that
young men and women are electing to do, not only is this entirely
believable, it'd probably be the most popular vending machine in the
hotel ! : )

Yeah probably just about as popular as this one:

A hillbilly family took a vacation to New York City. One day, the father
took his son
into a large building.

They were amazed by everything they saw, especially the elevator at one end
of the
lobby. The boy asked, "What's this, Paw?"The father responded, "Son, I have
never
seen anything like this in my life. I don't know what it is!"

While the boy and his father were watching in wide-eyed astonishment, the
ugliest
woman you ever saw (uglier than is legally allowed) walked up to the moving
walls
and pressed a button. The walls opened and the woman went between them nto a
small room.

The walls closed and the boy and his father watched small circles of lights
above the
walls light up. As they continued to watch the circles lit up in the reverse
direction.

The walls opened again, and a beautiful, voluptuous twenty-four-year old
woman stepped out!

The father turned to his son and said, "Go get your maw!"

I didn't leave out anything, you left your reading comprehension
manual out. I explained that ALL these songs were from my alphabetical
list from Vince Gill - Tom T. Hall . Obviously George Jones comes
later in MOST alphabets, except apparently yours. : ) The only Jones
songs listed are duets with others on the list.

Apparently Hershel Walker isn't the only one around here with multiple
personalities. The difference is even Hershel understands that when
all 60 of his personalities like a particular song, that still only
counts for ONE person, NOT "many folks" . : )

Seriously, I understand you think it's the greatest of all time, but
honestly I've NEVER heard anyone in my life, express the same
sentiment. I like it and it's a good song, BUT "greatest of all
time" ? You must be related to the writer. : )

They let you listen to music in hell ? : ) Who knew ? : ) Are you
saying Satan's a Country Music fan ? And all this time I always
thought "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" was a novelty song ! : )

Dang, just try to be nice to you, and, you get so upset! Also, you
are full of crap, you probably never ever listen to any songs on the
list you put out, by god. I listen to them, seriously like them, but,
admit I don't have Mickey Gilley stuff one after the other.

My favorite of all time; "There Stands The Glass" Webb Pierce?
I changed my mind, "Sixpack to Go" Hank Thompson
(from memory)

"Hey, Mr. Bartender, please don't be so slow.

I've got time for one more round, and a six-pack to go.
Tomorrow Morning's monday, and I'm gonna be feeling low.
So please, please bartender, I'll have a six-pack to go.

I've been drinking all day long, takin' in the town.
I've done spent my WHOLE pay check, just'a honky-tonkin' round.

Well, I dont have a dime to pay my rent, but I ain't a'gonna worry, no.

I've got time for one more round, and a six-pack to go.

"Set Up Two Glasses, Joe" by the one and only Texas Troubador!
But if you ask me tomorrow I might say "There's no place that I'd rather
be than right here with my red neck, white socks, and blue ribbon beer."
By Johnny Russell.
E.T.
let me add "Drinking my baby bye-bye"
Charlie Daniels

"Taking me a Whiskey Trip"
Gary Stewart

I can almost.. see me now
In Acapulco
I can almost.. feel the breeze
That makes the palm trees sway

The motion.. of the ocean
In the bottle
Says loving her.. is just
A sip away

Takin' me a whiskey trip
Loving her with every sip
I'm just like a sailing ship
A'waiting for the winds to blow

Whiskey, you're a friend of mine
You can blow away my mind
To some other place and time
Taking me a whiskey trip

I can almost.. see her now
Here beside me
I can almost.. smell the perfume
[Whiskey Trip lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

Drifting from her hair

And living with this feeling
Of wanting her
One more drink.. and I know
I'll be there

A'taking me a whiskey trip
Loving her with every sip
I'm just like a sailing ship
Waiting for the winds to blow

Whiskey, you're a friend of mine
You can blow away my mind
To some other place and time
Taking me a whiskey trip

Taking me a whiskey trip
Loving her with every sip
I'm just like a sailing ship
Waiting for the winds to blow

"Set Up Two Glasses, Joe" by the one and only Texas Troubador!
"Set 'em up Joe" (and play Walkin' the Floor)
Vern (The Voice) Gosdin

And who could ever forget Johnny Paycheks'
"Colorado Koo-aid"

huh? What's that ya say, Big Man?
Aww, hell he can't hear.
Not on that side, anyway, cause he ain't got no ear!

;-)

C'mon down to South Texas, Esker... There's a couple of Honky Tonks I
wanna take ya to!

Oh, yeah... we're fixin'to (that's a word down here, awwrite?) have us a
'swingin' good time'.

You'd look good with yer neck in a noos, er -neck- tie!

Lets be honest. Anyone who's been married five times and with as many
addictions as you have has spent almost their entire life with their
neck in a noos, er neck-tie. : ) And no, it doesn't look good on you
either. : )

Drunk and angry is no way to go through life. Accept responsibility
and stop trying to blame me for your troubles. It's good to see you're
no longer sending Stan a million posts a week, but replacing the
object of your anger, doesn't change anything. Look in the mirror. Get
some help.
