Believe it or not, before he became famous as "Festus", Curtis was
actually a member of the legendary "Sons Of The Pioneers" .

Believe it or not, before he became famous as "Festus",  Curtis was
actually a member of the legendary "Sons Of The Pioneers" .

Yep, he sang with them from 1947-52. A while before that he had been
hired by Tommy Dorsey to replace Frank Sinatra.
